Families and groups of up to five will find The Coach House works well as a base for exploring western Cumbria and the Lake District's quieter fells. The converted former coach house has three bedrooms—a kingsize with ensuite on the ground floor, a double and single upstairs—and two bathrooms between them. A woodburner in the living room, gas heating throughout, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine keep things comfortable year-round. WiFi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included, and pets stay free if you're bringing one along.
The one-acre grounds offer a natural setting with a small garden and sitting area, bike storage, and parking for two cars (there's also an electric car charging point). Bootle train station is half an hour on foot, with services north to Carlisle and south to Lancaster. The beach lies a mile away, while the Lake District's walking terrain and Ravenglass's narrow-gauge railway—a seven-mile journey through fell scenery—are both within easy reach. A shop stands 200 yards from the property. Note that there is a pond on the grounds, 100 yards from the cottage.
