Osprey Cottage comes ready to use. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all included, along with initial logs for the fire. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge-freezer, so you can cook proper meals rather than rely on takeaways. Heating runs throughout via electric radiators, supplemented by the open fire in the living room—the kind of thing that makes a rainy evening feel intentional rather than inconvenient.
The layout spreads across two floors. Downstairs is open plan: living area with a smart TV, dining space and kitchen all in one, with an exposed oak beam ceiling that hints at the cottage's 17th-century origins. Upstairs holds two bedrooms (a double and a full-size bunk) and a bathroom with a bath, shower and heated towel rail. The property sleeps four and there is a cot, highchair and stairgate available if needed. One dog stays free; smoking is not permitted.
A rural farming village setting means the Farmers Arms is less than a mile away. Windows upstairs frame views across to Bassenthwaite Lake and the surrounding fells; woodland directly behind the property attracts red squirrels and birds of prey. Keswick and the wider Lake District are within reach for walking, exploring or simply changing scenery.

Very cosy and comfortable cottage. Very clean and modern. Like a home from home. Really enjoyed my stay last week. Will definitely be booking again and can recommend this little place 100%
