Shorley Lodge

Step into Shorley Lodge and you're met with a ground-floor living space that opens straight onto a gravelled front garden facing the River Greta. The layout keeps the main rooms on one level—a sitting room with a wood-burning stove and a kitchen fitted with a full oven, hob and dishwasher—while three bedrooms and the single bathroom sit upstairs. Two of the bedrooms have king-size beds; the third holds two singles. One car can be parked on site.

The essentials are covered: electricity, gas, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are included. The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, and there's a utility room with a washer-dryer and separate freezer. If you're bringing young children, a cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request. Pets are welcome.

Upper Fitz Park sits a short walk from Keswick town centre, so the high street shops and cafés are within reach on foot. From the house itself, you're directly across from both the park and the river—genuine walking terrain spreads from your doorstep into the surrounding fell country. A pub is within a mile. No smoking inside.
