Skylark

Skylark is a recently refurbished house in Keswick, built with character and fitted out for comfort. The ground floor holds the living room with its wood-burning stove, a substantial kitchen with electric cooking and dishwasher, and a shower room with walk-in access. Upstairs are three bedrooms—two doubles and a single—and another walk-in shower room. The property sleeps five and comes with bed linen, towels, wifi and underfloor heating throughout. One small dog is welcome to stay.

The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking rather than just reheating; there's a wine cooler alongside the fridge, a microwave for convenience, and a washing machine for longer stays. Outside, an enclosed garden with seating catches the quiet end of town, away from the main shops and cafés that are minutes on foot. Off-road parking for one car comes with the property, and additional spaces are available on the road. The enclosed layout means no smoking indoors.

From here the Lake District's fells, lakes and walking trails are within easy reach. Keswick itself has restaurants, galleries and outdoor hire shops. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed; logs for the wood burner can be bought locally.
