Stone House Farm Holiday Cottages - The Byres Tan

St Bees Head Heritage Coast and the starting point of the Coast to Coast walk are both within reach of The Byres Tan, a converted barn cottage in western Cumbria. The Lake District National Park lies a short drive inland. The cottage sits on a working farm and offers a private base for exploring this stretch of coast, the fells, and the network of established long-distance routes in the region.

This ground-floor property has two bedrooms—one with a kingsize bed, one single—and one shower room, sleeping up to three people. The open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas, with a Freeview TV in both bedrooms and the lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering. Underfloor heating runs throughout. Essentials including electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are provided. A utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and extra freezer is shared with other properties on the farm. One car can be parked on site. One well-behaved pet is welcome at no extra charge.

The single-storey layout and lack of steps to the entrance make it suitable for guests with limited mobility or families with young children. No smoking inside.
