Taters Barn

Taters Barn is a converted barn in rural Cumberland, set on ground level with direct access to the garden. The open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas under high ceilings with large glass doors; a wood burner and hot tub for two provide the focal points. The bedroom holds a super king bed, and there is an ensuite shower room with heated towel rail.

The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, air fryer, dishwasher and fridge-freezer, so you can cook as much or as little as you like. Oil underfloor heating, electricity, bed linen, towels, wifi and logs for the wood burner are all included. There is private parking for one car and an enclosed garden with patio and sitting-out area. One dog is welcome and stays free.

The property is surrounded by working farmland with views towards the Lake District, which is a short drive away. Carlisle is nearby for history and shopping. The area has Roman sites, coastal walks on the Solway, and access to the Scottish Border country. A village inn a few miles away serves home-cooked meals. No smoking indoors.
