Townend Cottage

Townend Cottage sits in the farming village of Wiggonby, positioned between several worthwhile destinations. The Lake District National Park is a 30-minute drive away, giving access to the fells and lakes; Derwentwater and Windermere are within reach for boat trips. The Solway Coast, including Allonby's long sandy beach, lies the same distance in another direction. Closer by, Watchtree nature reserve adjoins the village itself. Market towns like Cockermouth and Keswick are also nearby, while the shop, pub and restaurant are a two-mile walk or short drive away.

The cottage is a one-bedroom semi-detached property with one bathroom, sleeping two. Downstairs holds a living room with woodburner, separate dining room with garden views, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Upstairs is the bedroom with a king-size bed and the bathroom with both bath and shower cubicle. An enclosed lawned garden with seating area and furniture sits out the back, with parking for two cars on site. One well-behaved pet stays free of charge. Essentials including electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered; initial logs for the woodburner are provided too.
