Crogen Gatehouse Lodge sits at the edge of an estate in Denbighshire, surrounded by the Dee valley's fields, woods and moorland. The River Dee runs through the landscape below, and the terrain invites walking—whether a gentle riverside stroll or an uphill ramble into the hills beyond. This is serious countryside, the kind where you can step outside and feel genuinely remote, yet the village of Corwen remains nearby for supplies and everyday needs.
The lodge itself is a detached cottage with one bedroom and one bathroom, sleeping two. Downstairs, a living room with woodburner and smart TV opens into a dining room, then a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave and washing machine all present. A seating area at the rear catches the morning light and valley views. Upstairs, the bedroom holds a super kingsize bed. The bathroom offers both a roll-top bath and walk-in shower, with heated towel rails. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; fuel for the woodburner is provided. The property has its own spring water supply. Two cars can park on site, and one well-behaved pet is welcome. No smoking indoors.
