Walk into The Grousemoor and you'll find a substantial house arranged across a main block and an annexe, with the main living spaces on the ground floor. The kitchen is fully equipped for serious cooking—gas hob, electric Aga, two dishwashers, coffee machine and American fridge freezer—while a separate utility room has washing and drying facilities. Bedrooms are spread across both storeys: the main house holds five ensuite bedrooms ranging from a super kingsize to a standard kingsize, each with a television and fridge; the annexe adds two more ensuite rooms plus an additional single bed in its open-plan living area, which has its own kitchen and television.

All seven bathrooms come with either a walk-in shower or roll-top bath with shower over, and several have heated towel rails. Bed linen, towels, electricity and superfast fibre wi-fi are included, along with initial logs for the wood burner. The property sleeps 15 and welcomes one dog. Outside there is a six-person hot tub, patio with garden furniture, two gas barbecues, parking for 15 cars and a bike store. The house is yours alone—no other guests—and smoking is not permitted.

Located near Wrexham in Denbighshire, The Grousemoor works for large groups, multi-family holidays or milestone celebrations. Arrive after 4pm and depart before 10am.

We had the most wonderful stay at The Grousemoor recently for a hen party. It’s a beautiful venue in a stunning location. Communication beforehand with our host Amelia was excellent - she went above and beyond to answer any queries so we could ensure the perfect weekend for the bride to be! The house is so gorgeous (the pictures don’t do it justice) with spacious and comfortable bedrooms, bathrooms, a beautiful bar and dining area and a huge, super well equipped kitchen. Would definitely recommend for events or a peaceful, relaxing getaway with friends and family!

We stayed here for a joint 40th celebration and we weren't disappointed! Communication was easy and fast, from the moment we booked. We were greeted on arrival and shown around the property which was a really nice touch. The place itself is immaculately presented, bedrooms had a real luxury hotel feel to them, each with their own en suites, most of which were nearly as big as the bedrooms! The outside space was great too, a large patio with a huge table, a lounge area with a hot tub, which was all under cover, which was ideal because it meant we could still enjoy being outside together even when the weather wasn't great. Loads of fridges and freezers, perfect for our large group who brought lots of food and drink with us. The only niggle we found was that the Aga was quite difficult to use, as none of us had any experience using one, and it was the only working oven, so for a large group it did mean our meals took longer to cook. However, his was easily overcome by starting to cook earlier, in batches, and keeping things warm while other things were being cooked. The log fire was a real warm, homely touch, we really enjoyed cosying down in front of it of an evening, the lounge big enough to accommodate everyone. It really is an impressive property, immaculately clean and well presented, and big enough for large groups with large communal spaces with ample seating for everyone. We'd definitely return!

Great venue indoors or out, really homely feel and plenty of space for cooling your drinks! Myself and the dozen or so other people had a blast! Will definitely be booking again. We've stayed at a fair few lodges within a 90 minute drive of Manchester. This topped the lot! Excellent venue.

Went as part of a large group to celebrate parent in laws wedding anniversary- turned up very late- owners very attentive, I felt well looked after. Food and drink superb, rooms well appointed with roomy bed and large modern bathroom. Breakfast amazing. All in all excellent experience and plan to walk over from Llangollen for a Sunday lunch next time!
