Teviotdale Leisure Centre

We took our baby for his first swim today and the staff and centre were amazing. Such a lovely welcome, a member of staff personally gave us a tour and provided so much reassurance to us as it was our baby's first time swimming! He told us all about the temperature, the life guards on duty, showed us the changing rooms and the pool - absolutely above and beyond. The venue was super clean and a really nice pool! Our experience was so good we are getting a membership. The baby pool is perfect, great temperature, size and depth, our baby loved it! Thank you so much ❤️

First time here for a swim. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The young guy took us down to the changing rooms, showed us round and answered our questions...thank you. The changing rooms were lovely and big. The pool was warm. Pity there wasn't a lane blocked off for swimming as we had to dodge some kids while doing our lengths, but no real problem. Our only moan is the showers! These are poolside. Wish there were showers in the changing rooms to allow for a proper wash.

Absolutely crazy that there are no showers in the changing room. They blasted some sort of world war two bomb shelter alarm when the one hour slot was up. I went to the lockers to grab my shampoo and they locked the door to the pool where the ONLY showers were. Moreso, the big flume slide was shut and apparently there was a steam room that nobody told me about? Clearly everyone that swims here is bald. Not suitable place for women to swim or anyone that cares about the health of their hair. Staff were young and i don't really have any complaints about them. I never complained to them but the lifeguards inside saw me grumble in annoyance holding my shampoo and conditioner bottles. I also complained loudly in the changing room that there was no shower to wash my hair and this man with barely any hair side eyed me- CLEARLY HE ISNT WORRIED ABOUT HIS HAIR GETTING RUINED BY THE PEE PEE CHLORINE. But the staff don't make the policies so theres nothing they could do. Weird rules and the whole concept of being timed in the pool seems backwards to me. Only really useful if you have a family and are teaching small children to swim because most adults want to enjoy themselves without worrying about the clock. I have -11 eyesight and couldn't really see people from a distance other than small blurry blobs and children are really small. I said aloud that i was worried about kicking a child in the face by accident and i feel the families were looking at me strangely. Unfortunately i have to screw my eyes up really tightly to see if im about to swim into them so they probs thot i was glaring at them?? RIP. Overall the atmosphere was incredibly strange. I had fun tho just felt really upset that i have to postpone my nap now to wash my hair at home. Changing rooms smelled like peepeepoopoo!!!!

Lily's Group Exercise Classes are excellent! She's brilliant at spotting when you need guidance and giving supportive pointers. Her positivity is contagious and very empowering! Recommended without reservation.
