Clematis Cottage is a barn conversion on a working farm in the Derbyshire Dales. Everything happens on the ground floor: a combined living and dining space with a wood burner, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, two bedrooms (one kingsize, one with singles), and a shower room. The owners have restored it themselves, and the first load of wood for the burner is included along with bed linen, towels and wi-fi.
The farm itself has animals—pigs, ponies and chickens—that guests can see around the property. There's a shared garden area with seating, and parking for two cars on site. A pub sits within walking distance. The location opens onto countryside suitable for rambling and cycling; Matlock Bath, Chatsworth House and the Heights of Abraham are all nearby for a day out. The property is non-smoking.
