Mill Pond Cottage

Cromford sits in the Derbyshire Dales, a village built around water power and history. The mill that once drove the Industrial Revolution still turns here, fed by the pond that runs past Mill Pond Cottage. The cottage itself stands at the heart of things—close enough to the shops and pub that you can reach them in under a minute on foot, yet positioned to watch waterfowl glide past from the garden.

Inside are two bedrooms (one double, one twin) and a bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs, the kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob and microwave for cooking, while the living and dining room has a TV and DVD player. Essentials like bed linen, towels, heating and Wi-Fi are provided. You get your own parking space and the run of the whole place. There is a pond roughly five yards from the cottage.

From here, the High Peak Trail and walks to Black Rocks are within reach on foot. Carsington Water lies nearby for birdwatching or watersports. Matlock Bath is just over a mile away, while Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall make for straightforward day trips. The cottage is non-smoking.
