Rose Cottage
Derbyshire Dales
View on Google MapsPhoto: Rose Cottage
You step into Rose Cottage through a front door that opens directly onto a sitting room warmed by a wood-burning stove, with comfortable seating, a Smart TV and space to gather round the dining table. The kitchen sits just beyond, properly equipped to cook—electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, coffee machine and washer-dryer all present. A shower room with cubicle shower completes the ground floor. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed, the other with two singles. One dog can stay free throughout your visit; you'll find on-street parking near the property, including spaces by the post office and market square a few steps away.
Matlock sits within the Derbyshire Dales, and Rose Cottage occupies a village location with a post office, corner shop, chip shops and a pub all nearby. The cottage makes a practical base for exploring further afield—Bakewell, Buxton and Ashbourne are within reach, as are Chatsworth House and Matlock Bath with its cable cars and theme park. Walking and cycling routes branch out through the Peak District from here; the Monsal and High Peak trails are among them. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, along with initial logs for the stove. The property is non-smoking throughout.
