No. 10
Derbyshire Dales
Matlock and Matlock Bath have drawn visitors for centuries, set within the wooded gorge of the River Derwent. The town offers shops, pubs, restaurants and attractions ranging from Gulliver's Kingdom to the Heights of Abraham cable car. No. 10 is a terraced cottage on the edge of town, within walking distance of the centre through parkland and close to local amenities at Matlock Green.
The property sleeps four across two bedrooms—one with a king bed, one with bunks—and has a single bathroom with bath and shower. Downstairs, an open-plan living space combines kitchen, dining and sitting areas around a woodburner. The kitchen is equipped for cooking, with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher and breakfast bar. A courtyard garden with seating looks onto a small enclosed garden; note there is a brook ten yards from the back door. Wifi, electricity, bed linen, towels and initial logs for the fire are included. There is on-road parking and three steps to the entrance.
The area suits walkers and families exploring the Peak District, with the High Peak Cycle Trail starting south of town and the National Tramway Museum at Crich a short drive away. A pub lies within a mile. No smoking is permitted.
