Oak Lodge is an 18th-century barn that retains its character while offering modern comfort. The conversion preserves original features alongside contemporary additions, creating a space that feels both established and well-maintained. Two double bedrooms and one bathroom accommodate up to four guests, with underfloor heating and a wood burner providing warmth in cooler months. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included.

The property sits on the edge of Ashbourne in the Derbyshire Dales, with country walks beginning nearby and Carsington Water within reach on foot. The Peak District and other regional attractions are accessible by car. An enclosed garden and patio provide outdoor space, and there is parking on site. No smoking is permitted inside.

Great place. We went late January and it was lovely. There is something about sitting in a hot tub (that you lit and fed yourself - very fun!) when it's cold outside that is just fantastic. Plus we managed to snap some great pics of the deer that came to say hello. They sure do love carrots. If giving 6 stars was an option, I'd give Jenny a 6 for service. Just truly a spectacular host. We want to come again, and soon!

We had a lovely mini get away - the lodge was amazing and had everything we needed and more and was topped off with the stunning views of the surrounding scenery and deer. It’s in a great location for the local walks and the local pub is great. The hosts were very welcoming and on hand if we needed anything. We couldn’t recommend here anymore for a countryside get away!

We had a lovely time here! The lodge was a joy to be in and seeing the wildlife at all hours of the day was incredible. The hot tub was a definite bonus. The lodge came with plenty of amenities and the welcome pack was a lovely touch of the essentials. It was close enough to loads of tourist attractions for us to visit. Our dog had a lovely time playing in the garden and meeting lots of new animals. We will definitely be back soon 🥂🐾
