Wirksworth lies on the edge of the White Peak with independent shops, a working market, and several pubs within easy reach. The town has enough character to explore on foot—its parish church, local deli and bakery, and the maze of historic courtyards and narrow passages known as the Puzzle Gardens reward a morning's wandering. Longer walks into the surrounding countryside start from the doorstep.
Pear Tree Cottage is a stone terraced house across three floors. Downstairs holds a living room with a woodburner and smart TV, plus a kitchen/dining room with a full cooker, microwave and washing machine. Upstairs, one bedroom has a king bed, the other two singles, and there is a bathroom with a shower over the bath. The cottage sleeps 4 and is yours alone. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen, towels and initial fuel for the fire are included; a travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available if needed.
An enclosed garden at the rear has a patio, seating and a BBQ. Access involves a steep path up to the cottage. No smoking inside. One pet stays free.
