Railway Cottage stands on what was once a railway station, positioned high enough to command views across the surrounding countryside. It's a detached two-bedroom property in Longcliffe, a hamlet in the Derbyshire Dales, sleeping four across two ensuite bedrooms. Both rooms have their own shower, heated towel rail and toilet; one has a zip-and-link bed that can be configured as either a super kingsize or two singles. Everything is on the ground floor, which suits those who prefer to avoid stairs.
The living room has a leather sofa and Freeview TV; the kitchen/dining room is equipped for proper cooking, with an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and the rest of what you need to prepare meals. A utility room with washing machine means you can handle laundry during a longer stay. Outside, there's a small courtyard with patio and garden furniture, parking for two cars on site, and a bike store. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; the cottage is non-smoking.
Longcliffe is close to the High Peak Trail, a converted railway line now used for walking and cycling. The Peak District National Park and Carsington Water are within reach for outdoor activities. A pub is within a mile of the property.
