Bakewell sits at the heart of the Derbyshire Dales, surrounded by walking country and close to market towns like Matlock and Ashbourne. Rock Cottage is a detached two-bedroom place that sleeps three, with its own parking and room for one dog at no extra cost.
Ground floor has a living room with a woodburner, a separate dining room, and a kitchen with an electric cooker, microwave and washing machine. The bathroom is also downstairs. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a double bed, the other with a three-quarter double. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with Wi-Fi and electricity. The woodburner comes with initial fuel included. Outside is a garden with seating furniture. No smoking inside.
The location works well for exploring the Peak District on foot—the High Peak Trail, Tissington Trail and Monsal Trail are all nearby. Quieter walks into the surrounding countryside are easy to find. In the evenings, the village hosts a pop-up ale bar on Saturday nights if you want to meet locals and try regional brews.
