What visitors say

We’ve just returned from a wonderful stay in the Pinder cabin at Hoe Grange Holidays and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience for our first family holiday. We travelled with our 10-month-old daughter and were so impressed by how family-friendly everything was. The cabin was beautifully equipped with a high chair, toddler bath, travel cot, and thoughtful touches that made travelling with a baby so much easier. Everything felt incredibly safe and well considered, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy our holiday. The views from the Pinder cabin were absolutely stunning. Waking up each morning to look out at the horses and sheep grazing in the fields was so peaceful, and our daughter loved watching the animals. The cabin itself was spotless, cosy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was an added bonus and the perfect way to unwind after days spent exploring the beautiful Peak District. We also loved making use of the BBQ facilities and had planned a special pizza evening using the outdoor pizza oven. Unfortunately, the weather had other ideas and rain put a stop to our original plans. However, the team at Hoe Grange were incredibly accommodating and quick to help, providing us with a pizza stone for the oven inside the cabin so we could still enjoy our pizza night in a slightly different way. It was such a thoughtful gesture and perfectly summed up the level of care and customer service we experienced throughout our stay. The location is fantastic – peaceful and secluded, yet close to so many family-friendly attractions and lovely places to see. The hosts have clearly thought of everything and have created a place that feels both luxurious and welcoming. We made some very special memories here as a family and were genuinely sad to leave. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hoe Grange to anyone, especially families with young children, and we hope to return again in the future.

This was our third stay at Hoe Grange and they didn't disappoint! 5 of us stayed in Pinder cabin and brought our horses along for the weekend. The cabin is really comfy and easily fitted 5 of us. A well appointed kitchen with a big dining table and comfy seats for us all. The hot tub was much appreciated after a hard day's riding. It was so lovely to sit in the hot tub with a prosecco watching our horses happily grazing in the field next door. The horses were really well catered for. They had a big stable each with hay, straw and all mucking out equipment provided. They each had their own paddock that we could make use of for as long as wanted. Felicity was great at advising us on riding routes and accompanying us on a ride (directing, gate opening and loose cow herding!!). She was also super helpful when we arrived as one of our horses had cut herself on the trailer. She provided all the first aid equipment we needed and was very calm about the whole thing. The horse riding is just amazing. There are so many routes to choose from (helpful maps with suggested routes left in the cabin). The scenery is fantastic and there is very little road work. Be warned it is very hilly so you need a fit horse! I really can't recommend Hoe Grange highly enough and can't wait to go back next year.

Absolutely loved this place, it was a lucky find. Stunning views all the noise we could hear were the sheep, cows & birds...heaven!!. The owners were very welcoming & nothing was too much trouble. Loved the attention to detail, with a beautiful welcome pack of homemade goodies, even fred (the dog) had his own welcome pack with a comfy mat to lie on. My daughter had a bit of a wobble at bed times as the bed wasnt a full profile bed so she was a bit nervous and was unable to fully settle, but we got thru it. The carpet was a little hard to push the mobile hoist on once lifting & was nervous getting the carpet all wet transferring from shower chair. The wet room and equipment was perfect. The lodge was very clean & just loved everything about it, the spa was gorgeous on the night after a hot sunny day 😍. Would definitely book again. Beautiful & thankyou.

We spent 4 nights in one of the Lodges (Hipley) at Hoe Grange, it’s really well fitted out, with everything you need, especially if you’re a wheelchair user. All doors and access to the lodge is wheelchair friendly, along with a wet room and various pieces of equipment that are available at no extra cost ie hospital bed, recliner chair, Sara stedy. Etc. The lodge is in a very quiet location , surrounded by rolling hills and various animals. The dog was very well catered for as well, with a throw for the sofa and towels and dog towels. This is a family run business and I don’t think I’ve been anywhere where so much thought has been given to guests that will stay.
