Exe Valley Glamping

What a relaxing stay! We loved every bit of it. Exactly what we were looking for. All the fun of camping but none of the stress. We arrived, greeted by Roger who was ready to take our things the two minute walk from the car to the site. The tent was beautiful, clean and full of everything you’d need. There was more than enough firewood and kindling, plus fire starters to get you started. Our kids loved the hideaway bed. There were some toys and board games there, but we brought our own. We managed to cook in every evening. More than enough plates, crockery, etc. The stovetop did the trick, but there was an outdoor gas hob if you needed speedy boiling. Plus open campfire pit for s’mores and toasting marshmallows. We camped in August and the tent was lovely and warm with the fire burning, plus there were warm extra blankets and hot water bottles for every bed. Even in a heavy downpour the tent was perfectly dry and warm. The shower was surprisingly fantastic - pressure and warm (but fire burning boiler, so you need to manage this). And the towels were impressively soft. About an eight minute walk from site to the local cafe and pub through a woodland walk and paddling access to the river. Comfy deck chairs and the hammock was a big hit. Beautiful giant chalkboard so remember to bring some chalk. There is a small electrical plug that’s suitable for mobile charging or computer charge (not hairdryer though they provided a small chargeable hairdryer if you’d like one). Would highly recommend and will happily stay again! We’ll never tire of the view and the kids are already asking to visit again.

Didnt know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Journey from Tiverton Tesco to the camp was quite an adventure! This will probably the only time and excuse to put SUV into off road mode! There were 21 of us and none had anything negative to say about the camp apart from the huge moths!!. Tents were relatively clean and provides all that you need for a nice relaxing stay (even the dog got a bed, toel, boel and treats). Beds were comfy, toilets clean and shower was nice and hot once you spent a bit of time setting up the fire. we set up a central communal area between the 4 tents and had a BBQ in the midst of some beautiful scenery. There are a couple of nice pubs for lunch and dinner (10-15mins walk) and several nice trails. A big shout out to Roger who helped us transport luggage to and from the camp and the cars in his trust buggy. He talked in detail in how the equipment worked and was helpful in everything we asked for. All in all a great stay and a well run operation.

We've just come back from spending an amazing week here. The tents are spacious and clean and put the glam into glamping! They have everything you need and are in the most beautiful setting. We enjoyed leaving our car at Bickleigh Mill and walking back along the river. It was great to enjoy a different part of Devon, away from the coast, but there was still so much to enjoy. We finished with breakfast at The Lost Kitchen (recommended on their site) and what a great finish that was!!

We had the best time here - beautiful location - bit of an adventure to get there, but my boys absolutely loved it. We were all blown away by the tents and the valley, the beds were so comfy and it was the perfect balance of rustic and quality. The shower and cooking was fun, it was great to slow down and explore.
