What visitors say
Andrew and Claire are excellent hosts. The campsite is on a working farm, and it was lovely to be greeted every day by the 2 pigs and goats who are allowed to roam in a protected track adjacent to our pitch. It is a very quiet, peaceful site. The campsite is immaculate, and the added bonus of en-suite on your pitch is a bonus and well worth the additional cost. This is one of the best campsites that we have had the pleasure to stay on so far. We will return again in the near future.

We stayed here for 8 nights over Easter and absolutely loved it. The pitches are generously spaced, offering plenty of privacy and room to relax. We opted for a pitch with its own ensuite – a first for us and an absolute game changer. Ours was tucked away in a corner, giving us loads of space and a real sense of peace. The site is ideally located for exploring North Devon, with most key attractions just a 20 to 30 minute drive away – making it a perfect base. It’s incredibly quiet, with no light pollution, so it’s a proper escape from the noise and rush of daily life. Andrew, the owner, was warm, welcoming, and always happy to help. We’d definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful break with excellent facilities.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Hallsdown Tranquil campsite and can't recommend it enough! The name says it all – it's incredibly peaceful and relaxing, a true escape from the hustle and bustle. The site was spotless, clearly very well looked after, and the facilities were always clean and tidy. One of the standout features was having our own private toilet and shower – such a rare and welcome bonus that made the stay even more comfortable. It's also in a fantastic location with easy access to some of the best tourist spots along the North Devon coast. A perfect base for exploring the area, and a lovely place to unwind at the end of the day.

Hallsdown Farm Touring Park is as good as you can get. Lovely owners very helpful, site and amenities kept in very good order with some thoughtful extra touches. Being a Tranquil Parks site is adults only site and it's also a working farm so no dogs are permitted.
