We had a fantastic time at Newberry valley. The pitches were spacious and the whole site was very clean and well maintained. The showers had plenty of hot water and were also spotlessly clean as were the toilets. There is a large fishing lake on site which we walked around several times with our dogs as there were shady areas on the hot sunny few days we were there. The dog walking field itself is very steep and challenging but the dog's loved the chance to be off lead. It's a short walk down to Coombe Martin and a dog friendly beach, there is also a second beach and the whole area is very scenic. Onsite there are walks around a wooded area where we spotted a variety of wildlife. There are also Alpacas on site . We will definitely be returning sometime in the future.

We only stayed for 4 nights trying out our new motor home and really enjoyed the stay. Very quiet site and only a 10 minute walk from town for coffee shops and a pub & various beaches and coves. Great atmosphere across the site and as we were sited next to the lake it was a great outlook. The only feedback to hopefully help the owners was although the shower rooms are a great idea perhaps replacing the shower curtains with screens and the plastic seats would be a good investment. Great dog exercise field but a lack of dog bins. Happy to recommend.

Extremely well maintained site. Large pitches thoughtfully laid out complete with individual picnic benches. A treat to use the showers with so much space. Good location - five minute walk to dog friendly beach and nearby bus stop for Ilfracombe and Barnstaple. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Peaceful stay with a chance to enjoy the wildlife including pheasant who was a regular visitor 👍

What an amazing friendly and well laid out campsite! This is the second time of visiting, spotlessly clean toilets,showers and washing up areas with loads of hot water. Pitches are large and private. Friendly ground staff and owner. We will be back as it's easy to get to the beach shops or buses.
