I've had several visits to this gorgeous site over the last couple of years and it never disappoints. The nearly wild camping pitches are exactly that; if you don't want to, you literally don't have to see another person and you could be out in the middle of nowhere in this stunning location. The ability to use flushing toilets and be able to wash up after you've cooked your bacon in the morning is a bit of a game changer, so Wray Valley is now my go-to for times where I want the wild camping experience, but just with a little more comfort. Yet there are also more traditional camping pitches in the hay meadow area if you want them. Kevin and Michelle have worked exceptionally hard to make this site environmentally friendly and sustainable and it shows. Being able to have a cool, refreshing dip in the stream during the current heatwave was invaluable! I'll definitely be returning, And if you're in two minds about whether to make a booking, I'd advise you to do it (if they have availability!)

We had a lovely stay at the Wray Valley Campsite. We arrived by bike, so got a £2 per person discount, which was a lovely surprise. Our pitch was secluded amongst the woodland and near the river, with a lovely seating area and fire pit. You could buy from a great selection of local beers, which we really enjoyed. It was very quiet and secluded which we loved. Amenities were good, with warm and clean showers and toilets. They also had a small campers kitchen with kettle and microwave. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I also like the eco friendly facilities and focus on sustainability. We would definitely stay again.

My partner and I came to stay at this beautiful campsite and it was a 10/10 experience. When we arrived Kevin and Michelle were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The campsite is all eco friendly and has a great layout. The showers were great and hot and the toilets were kept very clean and tidy. They have use of extra facilities microwave, kettle, freezer, power points to charge phones which was also very handy. We loved our stay at Wray Valley and would 100% come again. Highly recommend their homemade elderflower and soda drink it was delicious! Thank you for a lovely stay 🙂

Last minute booking turned into one of our favourite camping trips. We booked Oak- a lovely, quiet and secluded spot under the tree cover next to the stream. The showers/ toilets were always clean and tidy, and the grounds lead onto the Wray Valley walking trail to two nearby towns with some lovely pubs! Easy access to other areas to visit in Dartmoore- Definitely worth booking!
