Ticks every box for a family camping trip. Beautiful Dartmoor views, very family friendly, reasonably priced and relaxed. The self check-in is practical, the honesty shop is brilliant for essentials, and on weekends you can order breakfast too. There’s also a great pub just a few minutes away with a proper Sunday roast, plus the historic St Mary’s Church, dating back to the 13th century. A lovely, easy, family-friendly Devon campsite. We’ll definitely be back. 🌿🏕️☀️

We had a fantastic stay at Hennock Hideaways campsite this weekend. The staff were very friendly, the ground was very well kept (with no issues with stingers on the kids feet playing barefoot), amazing views, and the toilets and showers were very clean. We will definitely be returning next year.

Pros - Lovely site. Little shop with basics. A fridge and freezer you can use. Charging points that are lockable. Clean and tidy. Nice showers with temperature controls. Delighted they had stuff in for a vegan breakfast. Amazing views. Cons/need to know. A bit hard to get your tent pegs in the ground. Not enough toilets and showers for the amount of people. 4 loos, 2 of which are in the same room as the only 2 showers. The other 2 are very small. If you're over 5ft, you will hit your head on the roof/doorway. Big queues in the morning for loo and shower. Will definitely come again.
