About The White Hart Hotel
The White Hart Hotel occupies a solid, traditional building on the square in Moretonhampstead, the kind of coaching inn that has long served travellers heading onto Dartmoor. Its character comes from that setting rather than any fuss, with a straightforward, welcoming feel that suits walkers, cyclists and anyone passing through the area.
Rooms are en-suite and include family options, so groups of varying sizes are catered for, and pets are welcome too. There's a restaurant and bar on site, breakfast is served, and packed lunches can be arranged for those heading out for the day. Free WiFi and 24-hour reception cover the practical side, while outdoor seating gives a spot to sit outside when the weather allows. Kids' meals are available, and business services are on hand for anyone combining work with a stay.
Moretonhampstead itself sits at the edge of Dartmoor National Park, and the hotel makes a natural base for exploring it, with walking and cycling routes close by along with golf, fishing and horse riding for those wanting more structured activity. There's also entertainment and further pubs and bars nearby, useful for evenings when you'd rather not head far from the square.
