Just had 2 nights here the campsite spotless beautiful location, toilets clean , loved exploring the site , But , while exploring some places where restricted with clear signs!! that’s fair enough ! We walked past the Abby and there was a small field so we went to have a look and when we turned around there was a guy just standing there staring at us , I replied are we not aloud to be here he replied no , there wasn’t any clear sign in fact there wasn’t any sign , left me slightly uncomfortable just felt a little unfriendly, and left us a little confused , I wouldn’t leave a bad review as it’s my take and how I was left feeling with my family , just missing a friendly atmosphere

Very good campsite, good facilities, good access to the Mawddach River either straight off the site field or by walking down the road to the old bridge which is a popular spot on a hot day. Another bonus are the ruins of Cymer Abbey on site. Only negatives were the hard ground for the tent pegs & the dreaded midges. Wouldn’t put us off returning though :)

Another lovely stay on a warm bank holiday weekend. Campsite not too crowded. Facilities clean and well maintained. Only criticism is I feel the ancient abbey on site should not be an area children should be playing. I am not sure how this is rectified as even though when the abbey is closed the children are just climbing over the gate.
