What visitors say
Only an hour and a half away from home for me, so great for a couple of nights break. What can I say, probably the nicest site I have visited. ( Been here four times) Facilities all spotlessly clean. Lovely owner, very welcoming always. Views glorious all around. Gorgeous sunsets. A twenty minute walk through the fields into town to a choice of eateries. Half an hour back to the site though ( steep hill ). Some fabulous walks in the area, Torrent walk, Precipice walk and the not to be missed walk to Cregennan lakes. There is a good level walk to suit most abilities circumnavigating the two lakes. Park in the NT car park where there are also toilets. Drink in the peace and quiet. It took me time to find Cefn Maelen but I wont go anywhere else. My last visit this Bank Holiday weekend just gone and the site was very busy with I think seasonal tourer owner, but not a sound could be heard. There were a couple of off the ground firepits in use and dogs were welcome. There are LOTS of sheep in the adjoining fields so your pet pooches must be on leads

Lovely little campsite, with views all round and obv sheep 😉 Archie and his wife are the nicest hosts I've met. They will come and meet you, they also site caravans for you. Price was good given I am on my own so only want to pay for 1 adult, all surrounding campsites were double the price! Dog friendly, only £1 pdpn Facilities are modern and clean If I had to give any feedback it was that the shower pressure wasn't as good But 100% would stay here again and recommend, lovely place!

A truly remarkable site with an even more remarkable sitekeeper. The views are astonishing here, even in bad weather. But if the weather is getting you down, the owner (Archie) will always be able to cheer you up again. Not only with his good mood, but also by keeping the facilities ridiculously clean and beautiful. Such a shame that I only got to stay for a short while. I'll definitely return here as soon as I soon as I can.

Where do I start, we found this amazing camp by chance, and I can honestly say we've never seen anything more breathtaking in our lifes! The views are GORGEOUS! The owners popped by the camp and we had the pleasure to meet them, fantastic couple, so lovely, welcoming and kind! We can not wait to come back next year and hopefully celebrate the 50th anniversary ( I'll definitely bring the Polish sausage for the BBQ)!
