About Liberty Farm
Looking for proper peace in a gorgeous setting? Liberty Farm is a tiny, family-run spot tucked into the Dorset National Landscape, just over a mile from the village of Halstock. Numbers are kept deliberately low – think solo travellers, couples and small families rather than big groups – so you can soak up sweeping views and watch deer and hares at dawn without distraction.
Facilities are intentionally simple: mains water, compost loos, showers and a washing-up area, but no mains electricity (there's a small solar charging station for phones). A morning milk delivery from the farm's own cows and a kiosk selling emergency supplies add charm, though some might miss having hot water on tap. It can feel quite rustic if you're used to more amenities.
The Jurassic Coast is half an hour away, Yeovil fifteen minutes for supplies, and attractive villages like Evershot and Beaminster are close by for walks and exploring. Campfires are allowed, adding to the quietly wild atmosphere.

The best milk for mikes… I actually felt emotional the first time I tasted this milk as it was a memory back to my childhood on a farm where the cows were allowed to feed their calves and the family… I would pay 3 x the price fir this milk and just . Milk can be a superfood…. A friend of mine in India had a family cow… the cow woukd lick the lick the hand of the mother of the household and then graze the exact herbs required for the woman of the household!!! What a lot we have forgotten in a short time in history. I think we might be starting to remember again 🧡❤️🧡 Thank you Pete and Damon… happy cows equals nourishing milk

Extra add ons for Christmas to supplement our milk deliveries: double cream and brandy butter. Both were fantastic. Words don’t describe how delicious they were. Ever thought about making ice cream?
