Martleaves Farm Campsite

This place is really chilled with lovely views over Chesil beach, a 5 min walk down to east fleet estuary. The toilets are always clean with hot water however they could do with putting a mixer on the showers as sometimes it's extremely hot. Its a 10 min bus ride to waymouth and has some local takeaways if required. I wouldn't stay here during bad weather as I am sure tents will vanish as its completely open to the elements with high winds off the sea. Staff are friendly also and dont bother u but u know they are there if u need anything.

We stayed here over New Year what a fantastic site. The views are beautiful from nearly all the pitches. The facilities excellent warm and clean the showers 🚿 where great. Location was great visited some lovely places 😊. Nice walk down to the little beach ⛱️ great for dog walks. Definitely will be returning.

Martleaves Farm Adult only site - great views - coast path runs alongside site. Clean, modern toilet block - hot showers. Number 1 bus (Weymouth to Portland) - with a short walk to stop, 30minutes frequency, til late at night. - doesn't quite get to Portland light house, but it gets pretty close to The Cove House Inn - DT5 1AW Recommend booking The Cove House Inn in advance. The campsite has a Tesco extra within walking distance, plus a well regarded baker near the bus stop - opposite Wyke Smuggler pub, plus there's a Fish & chip shop, a Domino pizza and Chinese nearby, again within walking distance. Walk to The Crab House Cafe - great food & service, but dog area is a bit limp. Highly recommended, but booking almost essential. Great walk or cycle along the dismantled railway - now tarmac - around 2.5 miles, Call into the Sandsfoot Cafe near old fort & gardens both worth a visit - the railway walk takes you all the way into Weymouth - No.1 bus back £3 a ticket. K4 bus stop in Weymouth. Weymouth - Rockfish was great - didn't try the Gurkha Bar and Buffet Restaurant, but seems popular - Bennetts Fish & chips is highly recommended - can eat in The Kings Arms pub next door, provided you buy a drink and clear your wrappings - .

Camped for 4 nights in August. Perfect location for walking part of The Jurassic Coast, walking into Weymouth and bird spotting. Plenty of showers and washing facilities which were cleaned at least twice a day to our knowledge. It's a working farm so the site is a little 'quirky' and not as 'polished' as some of the other campsites in the area, but we like this. Would have given 5 star, but didn't meet anyone from the Reception team at all during our stay (we booked and checked in all on line), so the personal touch was missing for us, however we will definitely return as the location and views were perfect for us.
