Wake to ducks gliding past your window at this peaceful lakeside retreat in the Dorset National Landscape, where three handsome eco-pods perch beside their own private lake. Each pod comes with a generous waterside deck – perfect for morning coffee or sunset drinks – and you can even take the rowing boat out to explore among the reeds. Inside, you'll find everything needed for a comfortable escape: screened kingsize sleeping area, well-equipped kitchenette, ensuite shower room, and a cosy sofa for unwinding.

The owners have gone properly green here, with solar panels, LPG heating, sustainable materials and living roofs keeping things off-grid and planet-friendly. It's an intimate site with level access and good lighting throughout.

You're fifteen minutes from Weymouth's beaches and the dramatic Jurassic Coast, while the village of Portesham offers a handy pub and farm shop. Countryside walks, historic estates and watersports are all nearby – though with that tranquil lake on your doorstep, you might struggle to leave.
