Alberts Cottage works well for couples or families of four who want to be based near walking country without sacrificing comfort. The two bedrooms each have a double bed, served by a bathroom on the ground floor with bath and shower. Downstairs, the open-plan living space has a smart TV and an electric wood burner effect fire; the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included.
Dogs stay free and get a welcome pack, and the enclosed garden gives them—and you—room to move. A patio with bistro seating is the spot for morning coffee or evening drinks. The North Dorset Trailway runs practically past the gate: miles of walking and cycling on the old railway line, through fields and woodland. A short walk also takes you into town for independent shops, cafés and restaurants. Blandford Forum and Sturminster Newton are nearby, both with character, artisan bakeries and local markets. The Jurassic Coast—a UNESCO World Heritage Site with Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Lyme Regis—is within reach for day trips. No smoking inside.
