Applewood Cottage

Walditch is a small village in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, positioned between Bridport and the dramatic cliffs of West Bay. From here, the Jurassic Coast's most famous stretches are within easy reach—Chesil Beach, Lyme Regis and its Victorian seafront, and the fossil-rich landscape that extends towards Weymouth. The surrounding countryside opens onto fields; the village itself sits roughly a mile from Bridport's shops and market, with a pub and restaurant about the same distance away.

Applewood Cottage is a Grade II listed property with two bedrooms, sleeping four. The ground floor contains a living room with Freeview television, DVD and CD players, and a woodburner; the kitchen/dining room has an electric cooker, combi microwave and washing machine. Upstairs, one bedroom holds a double bed (4ft 6in), the other two singles (3ft each). A single bathroom serves both rooms. The cottage comes with bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity included; wood for the burner is supplied initially. A travel cot and highchair are available for younger children.

An enclosed tiered garden with patio, garden furniture and barbecue provides outdoor space; there are steps within the garden. Parking is on road, about 20 yards away. The cottage does not permit smoking. This is a self-contained property suitable for couples or small families wanting a base for coastal exploration and countryside walking.
