🏡 Self-Catering Cottage

Bramble Cottage

Bramble Cottage works well for families or small groups wanting space to spread out. The main cottage has two bedrooms and sleeps four; an adjoining annexe (not connected internally) holds a third bedroom and sleeps two more. The arrangement means you're together but with some separation for evenings—useful if you're mixing ages or friendship groups.

The main house centres on a living and dining room with a wood burner and Freeview TV, leading to a kitchen with a range cooker for proper cooking. Upstairs are a double and a single bedroom, with a single pull-out bed in the smaller room for flexibility. Downstairs, a bathroom and utility room handle washing and drying. The annexe mirrors this on a smaller scale: a living room with a fridge, a shower room, and a double bedroom upstairs. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; heating and logs for the burner are covered too.

Be aware of narrow staircases and low ceilings throughout—something to consider if anyone has mobility issues or if very young children will be using the stairs frequently. The Village Inn is directly opposite for meals, and a shop opens nearby in summer. A short drive reaches Swanage's steam railway and beach. Outside, a large enclosed garden with a summerhouse, seating and a BBQ offers a retreat whatever the season. You have private parking for two cars on site, and a cot and highchair are available on request.

We stayed in the annex. The stairs are very steep and the bed not very comfortable, but apart from that it was great. The garden is beautiful. The on site restaurant is very good too.
