Churchview House

Photo: Google Maps

Walk through Churchview House and you're met with space to spread out. The ground floor opens into a living room with a 40-inch TV and French doors to the patio, a dining room anchored by an open fire, and a kitchen fitted with everything needed to cook for a crowd—electric oven, gas hob, range, dishwasher and washing machine included. Upstairs, a second living room offers another retreat, while the nine bedrooms are distributed across the first and second floors. Eight rooms have ensuite bathrooms; one uses a shared bathroom next door. Most bedrooms are doubles, others have twin singles, and each has a television. All beds come with linen and towels.

The property sits on Manor Farm near Dorchester, with parking for six cars on site and a small enclosed garden with patio, sitting-out area and barbecue. Wi-Fi and heating are included, along with a welcome pack. One pet may stay free. The layout and number of bathrooms make this suitable for large family or friendship groups who want to avoid the cramped feeling of many holiday lets. No smoking inside. The nearest landmark is an Esso garage.

A most beautiful house with 9 bedrooms, 8 are onsuite. Everything you need for a lovely weekend away with friends. Pub nearby and easy routes to Dorchester, Weymouth and Lyme Regis. Plus a fantastic chocolate cake left by our hosts.

Stayed here for four nights on a walking holiday. House is well equipped and clean. Rooms a little tired but comfortable. Good value for money. Downside is the busy main road. Not helped by roadworks while we were there.

pretty farmhouse type building. good garden but parking a bit precarious on the main road. decent showers and baths in some of the rooms too....beds a bit soft, but most places are like that. No shops in the village and no pub....very expensive garage shop. best bit is the location itself.

Lovely characterful house for a big party of people, lots of space to be together and to be on our own. The welcoming package including a delicious chocolate cake went down a treat! Each room had its own bathroom which was a godsend as we were all there for a wedding!
