A mile from the cliffs at Dancing Ledge, Fernlea sits in the conservation hamlet of Acton, with countryside views across towards Swanage Bay. The stone house is set back with its own garden and parking for five cars. It's been thoroughly renovated and sleeps fourteen across seven bedrooms—each with its own bathroom, double or twin beds, and a television.
The ground floor holds a living room, dining room, and a kitchen equipped for cooking and catering, plus a separate toilet. Upstairs, five bedrooms are on the first floor and two on the second, each with a bath and shower. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included; heating and electricity are charged separately. A travel cot and highchair are available. The property is rented as a whole to one group only.
Swanage, two and a half miles away, has a sandy beach, shops, restaurants and a theatre; steam trains run to Corfe Castle from there. The village of Studland is four miles off. Smoking is not permitted, and one well-behaved pet is welcome.

Great House

We loved our Monday to Friday half-term break in this warm, characterful house. We were an extended family of 13 and everyone of us would go back. The kitchen was very well equipped, the living and dining areas spacious and the kids enjoyed playing in the large garden. There are many walks on the doorstep and we would like to return in better weather to explore more of them.

Amazing place for a big gathering. 7 good size bedrooms with en-suite. The house is clean and very spacious. You find in the house anything you need. Great location for fab costal walks. Dancing Ledge is just amazing to walk to. Also walked to Swanage. Wonderful views and scenery all the way. And Swanage is just lovely.
