Kingfisher Cottage is a single-storey barn conversion on a working farm near Sherborne. The whole property is yours alone, with everything on one level: a combined living and dining space opening onto the garden through French doors, a separate kitchen, two bedrooms (one kingsize, one with twin singles), and a shower room. Polished wooden floors and rugs give it character; there's a woodburner for cooler months, and a TV with Freesat. The kitchen is set up for proper cooking, with an electric cooker and all the essentials. Bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with initial logs for the burner.

The enclosed garden has a patio, furniture and a barbecue, and you can use the hard tennis court shared with the other cottage on site. Sherborne itself is 2 miles away—a proper market town with history and independent shops. The Blackmore Vale surrounds you; within reasonable reach are stately homes like Montacute and Stourhead, the World Heritage Coast near Lyme Regis, and family attractions including the Fleet Air Arm Museum and Haynes Motor Museum. There's a country pub with food just 110 yards away. No smoking indoors; note that an unfenced stream runs through the adjacent meadow.
