Woodpecker Cottage is a ground-floor conversion at Grange Farm, set in quiet countryside yet within reach of Sherborne's shops and restaurants. Everything—bedrooms, bathroom and living space—sits on one level, opening into an open-plan arrangement with a wood-burning stove, patio doors to the garden, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. One bedroom has a king bed, the other two singles. A wood burner warms the space, and the essentials including Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are included.

The cottage accommodates four guests and welcomes one dog, though the stream running through the adjoining meadow is unfenced. You get on-site parking for two cars, a garden with patio and BBQ, and access to a shared hard tennis court. Sherborne itself—a market town with Georgian architecture and an abbey—lies two miles away. From here you can explore the Blackmore Vale, reach the Jurassic Coast near Weymouth and Lyme Regis, or venture to stately homes like Stourhead and Montacute. The Haynes Motor Museum and Fleet Air Arm Museum are within reasonable driving distance.
