Herston Rise

Herston Rise comes fully equipped for a self-catering stay: bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, along with electricity and initial fuel for the wood burner. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking—electric oven, microwave, fridge and washing machine—while the living space centres on a wood burner that makes the cottage comfortable whatever the season.

The layout is straightforward. Downstairs, an open-plan living and dining area flows into the kitchen. Upstairs, one bedroom holds a double bed and the other two singles, with a bathroom featuring a bath and shower. Outside, a small enclosed garden with furniture provides a private outdoor space, and there is on-road parking. One well-behaved pet is welcome.

The cottage sits on the edge of Swanage. A shop is 250 yards away, and a pub and restaurant are just 50 yards on foot. The beach is roughly a mile distant. The Jurassic Coast, Purbeck Hills, Durlston Country Park and the Steam Railway are all within reach for days out. No smoking inside.
