High Cross Camping Coach is a restored Victorian railway carriage, all on one floor in the quiet countryside between Netherbury and Bridport. The carriage retains its original character—sash windows, brass fittings, carriage handles—while providing genuine comfort for a weekend or week away. One bedroom has a double bed; the other two singles. There is a shower room with walk-in shower and a separate toilet, plus a wood-burning stove and electric heating for cooler months.
The open-plan interior combines living, dining and kitchen areas. You get an induction hob, combination microwave-oven-grill, fridge and sink—enough to cook proper meals if you want to. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and electricity are included. Outside, an enclosed garden with seating looks out over meadow fields toward distant hills. There is parking for one car on site. The property takes one pet at no extra cost and does not allow smoking.
Bridport and the Jurassic Coast are within a short drive. Charmouth's fossil beaches, West Bay's cliffs and the coastal paths between them are all accessible for the day. The site itself sits in open countryside, away from noise and crowds.

My amazing girlfriend took me to this lovely place to stay for two nights and all I can say is wow… cannot believe how well the owner has restored it also lovely to see they haven’t gone too over board with fitting it with too many mod-cons which gives you an idea what it was like back in day. Still has a shower, fully functional kitchen, pull out bench style double bed and wood burner if needed but honestly not needed in summer. You also have access to two more carriages one for eating with your family and the other being a beautifully restored 1st class dining carriage for a special meal. We had our own chef prepare the most amazing meal for candle light dinner which was just for us! The carriage itself is gorgeous, with all of the original seats and furnishings it is truly out of this world. To sum up we would both definitely recommend staying here again when in the area.

Quaint, idyllic, and rustic. Delightful old railway carriage now a unique place to stay for your holiday, has its own lovely bit of enclosed garden too and the view from the outside table watching the sun go down was pure bliss. Would stay again for sure!
