Lower Park Farmhouse comes fully equipped for a self-catering stay. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, dishwasher and coffee machine; a utility room houses a washing machine and separate fridge-freezer. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are all included. Oil central heating keeps things warm. Two kingsize bedrooms upstairs each have their own en-suite with bath and walk-in shower; the third bedroom downstairs holds a double and single bed, served by a wet room. All three have Smart TVs.
The living space spreads across ground and first floors. Downstairs, a lounge with woodburner and Smart TV opens to a dining room; French doors lead to the garden with its sitting-out area and barbecue. A barn games room detached from the house holds table tennis, darts and pool, making it useful for families or groups. The grounds are substantial—there's room to roam and explore, with parking on site for two cars.
The farmhouse sits near Whitchurch Canonicorum in a quiet rural setting, within reach of Bridport and the Jurassic Coast. It works well for families, groups of friends, or anyone wanting space and privacy in the Dorset countryside. No smoking is permitted inside.

What guests say
We recently stayed at Lower Park Farm and were truly captivated by its remarkable transformation from a traditional family dairy farm into a collection of beautifully appointed accommodations. Each space has its own unique charm, but our stay in the studio was especially memorable. From its tasteful décor to the thoughtfully equipped kitchen, everything had been designed with care and comfort in mind. The sweeping views of the Dorset countryside, with sheep grazing peacefully just beyond the window, made it feel like a little haven of calm. Hats of to Brenda and Will for creating such a gem deep in the bowels of Dorset. We only wish our stay had been longer. A wonderfully restorative retreat – highly recommended. Hosts absolutely fantastic! Beautiful, well stocked accommodation. Comfortable beds. Isolated, quiet location (just sheep and hosts within hearing distance). Couldn't be more helpful and kind.

We visited for the bank holiday in May 2024 and loved every second of this wonderful house. Huge selection of toys and games inside and outside the house and so homely. Felt like a home away from home. Darts, ping pong, snooker table. BBQ, wood burning stove. Huge house, huge garden and set back so far from the small road, you can't even see it until nearly on top of it. Will, the host was amazing too. Friendly and attentive to all needs throughout. Fantastically located to get around the local area, but without feeling in the thick of tourists. We didn't want to leave.

Excellent place. We had a really nice stay over the weekend. The property is very well set up for children (toddlers) with a largely enclosed yard, and very well proofed house. Plenty of toys. BBQ, outdoor spaces, comfortable beds ..honestly a great find. Very off the beaten path, but close enough to the coast to be easy. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Overall I would highly recommend.
