This converted barn occupies a single storey, making it easy to navigate for all guests. Three bedrooms—one double, two twins—accommodate up to six people, served by a bathroom and separate toilet. The heart of the property is an open-plan living and dining area where a wood burner provides warmth through cooler months, while the kitchen contains everything needed for self-catering. Outside, a patio with furniture overlooks a stream that borders the garden; this is a working farm area, so one pet is welcome as long as it stays on a lead.
The Stables sits near Okeford Fitzpaine, a village in the Blackmore Vale with its own shop and pub within walking distance. Sturminster Newton, larger and with more amenities, lies three miles away. This corner of Dorset falls within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with walking and cycling routes through the countryside nearby. Bulbarrow Hill, one of the county's highest points, offers views across the vale. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are provided, along with initial logs for the wood burner. Car parking for up to three vehicles is on site. No smoking inside the property.
