I stayed at the Ellan Vannin Hotel on 06/04/2026 as I was arriving on a late ferry from the mainland. I was looking for a clean room with a warm shower, and at a reasonable cost. Fortunately Ellan Vannin delievered on all three and went beyond. Due to arriving after the normal check-in time, the hotel arranged an alternative check-in for me with clear instructions. In addition to the hotel's great location near the ferry terminal and on the promenade, this meant my arrival and stay were hassle-free for which I am grateful. The room was of good size for a self-proclaimed 'budget' option and the shower was to a high standard. The room seemed clean and I had a good night's sleep. The check-out process was equally hassle-free. Overall, I am glad I stayed at the Ellan Vannin Hotel and would recommend it for other travellers in my position.

Most of the rooms were great, however couple of complsing from those who stayed in a Double Rooms with single occupancy. About furniture (not enough) and no fan. Only one towel per person.

Overcharged for poor breakfast, general manager showed poor customer care when dealing with my simple query regarding my bill. Had to be overriden by another member of staff. Did not receive an apology.

Many thanks to the Ellan Vannin all the staff were fantastic a credit to Sarah, Paul and Pauline. The room was cosy and very comfortable. The hotel location opposite the beach close to the town and Ferry Port was ideal. Would definitely come back! Many thanks Colin and Kerry x
