A seafront hotel on Douglas's Loch Promenade, well suited to travellers who want modern rooms and free parking without the fuss of self-catering.
About The Claremont Hotel
The Claremont Hotel suits visitors who want an easy, well-equipped base on the Isle of Man rather than a boutique hideaway. Set along Loch Promenade in Douglas, it puts guests directly on the seafront, with 56 rooms across the property, some looking straight out over the water.
Rooms are described as modern and comfortable, a useful reassurance in a seafront hotel of this size. Breakfast is included, and there's a restaurant and bar on site for guests who'd rather not head out after a day of travelling or sightseeing. Practical extras run to free WiFi, a lift, luggage storage, meeting rooms and a garden, and the hotel also takes on weddings, so it's built to handle groups as well as individual stays.
Free on-site parking makes it a sensible choice for anyone arriving by car or ferry, and the Douglas seafront location keeps the town's attractions within easy reach. It's a straightforward, functional stay rather than a destination in itself, but for a comfortable night by the promenade with breakfast and parking sorted, it does the job well.

The Claremont took extremely good care of us while we on the island for the TT Races. The rooms are very clean, beds are very comfortable, room service is prompt and thorough. the showerhead in the shower is excellent!! Front desk was very helpful in making arrangements for transportation and giving recommendations. The lobby and restaurant area were well appointed and a great place to gather and chat with other guests. The hotel is in my opinion in the best spot in Douglas being just a short walk from all the shopping, restaurants, and beach. We'll stay here again upon our return to the Isle of Man.

On a Great Rail Journeys holiday staying at the Cleremont. Friendly, clean and comfortable. In a great position near the Bee Gees statue on the sea front. The food and wine offering is very good for a hotel of this level. The service is efficient and friendly. We would return here if we come to Man again.

Went on a day trip. Stayed overnight at the Claremont Hotel. Great place to stay the room with the sea view, was very spacious with all the amenities. What a bathroom with a bath and a walkin shower double sinks can’t express how clean the place was and the staff are ever so helpful can’t do enough for you. We had the evening meal there which was good. And the morning breakfast was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming over to IOM.

Above and beyond is how I would describe the staff who over saw my significant birthday including family & friends (100+ people) celebration last Friday. Kay, Jade and Michelle could not have done more to make the evening run smoothly. We were downstairs in the Sanderson Suite which with the numbers provided a comfortable space with a dance floor - a fabulous night was had by all. We also had several rooms booked for ourselves and family who had travelled over for the occasion, the rooms were comfortable and very warm. Two of the rooms at the back of the hotel were on the smaller side but were clean and cozy all in all no complaints. I can happily recommend the Claremont Hotel especially for any event/celebration/gathering.
