What visitors say
Absolutely loved our stay here. So relaxing Loved the little shepherds hut toilet and shower area. Cant beat the fresh eggs we were given on arrival. Lovely people who own this immaculate site. Definitely going back.

Just returned from the most perfect 2 nights away with my husband for our anniversary. Mandy was very welcoming, great host and the shepherds hut was amazing in a stunning setting. We stayed in the beautiful Swaledale, very private and peaceful, could have stayed longer and will definitely return. We got the BBQ pack and would highly recommend, great quality food. Loved the personal touches too! Thank you.

Review of Camping - Perfectly pleasant host and peaceful location though there's nothing really within walking distance. The much mentioned "local pub" that is referred to, the Burton Arms, is a mile away and upon arrival found that it was permanently closed (June '23) and had to walk back again. The site itself is a well mown field with good sized pitches for camping. Facilities are basic for the price with 3 decorative outside toilet/shower units though these are fully functional with a good hot water supply. Some pitches will require a long hook up cable (25m). There were a lot of flies when we visited in June and they did have industrial fly traps out to try and help. I swatted 21 in the van that night before bed and before you think "it's a rural location", I live on a farm and we did not have anywhere near that many. Would I stop here again ? Maybe but not in fly season.
