Alderneuk Lodges - Ridge View Lodge

Ridge View Lodge is one of two detached lodges at Alderneuk, situated in a quiet valley near Dumfries with easy access to the Dumfries and Galloway countryside and coastline. The property sleeps three across a double bedroom with ensuite and a single bedroom, plus a separate family bathroom. Everything is on the ground floor, reached by two steps to the entrance.

Inside, an open-plan living and dining area flows into a kitchen equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Patio doors open onto decking with garden furniture and a gas barbecue for outdoor meals. The lodge comes with Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels. You can park two cars on site. The welcome pack and the layout—with both bedrooms accessible without stairs—make this suited to couples, small families, or friends travelling together who want a self-contained base.

The location works well for exploring Dumfries itself, walking or biking in Mabie or Ae Forest, or driving to beaches at the Solway Firth. No smoking is permitted in the lodge.
