Newbridge Country Park

Great caravan site for tourers, tents, and camper vans. Although there are only two toilets and one shower near the touring pitches, there’s another facilities block by reception just a short 100m walk away. Everything was spotless, and we especially appreciated the games/TV/seating room attached to the touring facilities. The whole site was immaculately clean and incredibly peaceful. The pitches were both large and level with nice frasses areas between them. We didn't need a motor mover with enough space to back in. The owners were always available if needed, while still giving guests plenty of privacy. We enjoyed our stay so much that we ended up booking an extra night! One thing worth mentioning — and this is more about the location than the site itself — is that local buses into the town centre aren’t always the most reliable. However, they did allow our dogs on free of charge, which was a bonus. There are taxis available too, including the occasional dog-friendly one, although none were available during our stay. The site is ideally located, with beaches and attractions just a short drive away. On arrival, you’re given a really helpful leaflet packed with recommendations for eateries and local information, and the games room also has plenty of tourist information available. You don’t even need to cook breakfast if you don’t want to, as there’s a lovely dog-friendly café and pet shop just a short walk from the site. There’s also a fantastic dog walk on-site — one of the best we’ve come across. Unlike the usual tiny woodland loop, this one leads to park benches and even has accessible river access where the dogs could cool off. Thank you for such a lovely stay — we’ll definitely be back!

Lovely wee site, close to Dumfries shops but in countryside. Friendly welcome, quiet & relaxing with massive dog walk!! We were there during the heatwave so it was ideal because it was too hot to go out further. Our collie loved it.

Really clean well maintained camp site ina quiet and convenient location. The staff who run the site are extremely friendly and helpful and the toilets, showers and facilities are spotless. All the motorhome and caravan pitches are well maintained.

Came here for the easter weekend we had storm dave on saturday night .Still had a lovely time the park was beautiful and everyone had a easter egg on their steps in the morning so cute .we will be back here soon ,lovely people we enjoyed it even with storm dave lol x
