Twynholm sits in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway, a village that puts you within reach of Kirkcudbright's art scene, the Solway's birdlife, and some of Scotland's most challenging mountain-bike terrain. Arden Cottage is a single-storey property with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, sleeping six across a kingsize bed, two singles, a day bed, and a pull-out single. The kitchen has everything needed to cook properly—electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave—and there's a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. The living room has a TV and DVD player. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included.
The cottage comes with an enclosed garden, off-road parking for three cars, and is set up for families. The surrounding area has something for most people: the Chocolate Factory runs workshops a short drive away, there are outdoor adventure centres offering activities from zip-wiring to clay pigeon shooting, and the quieter roads are good for cycling. The 7Stanes mountain-bike venues are accessible from here, as is the RSPB site at Mersehead for watching winter migrants on the Solway. No smoking inside the property.
