Poppy Pod is a single-bedroom glamping pod on a working farm near Newton Stewart, sleeping two in the double bed or up to four if you use the bunk bed above it. The whole place is yours alone, with a private hot tub positioned to take in the surrounding countryside. Inside, an open-plan layout combines the living space, kitchen and bedroom on one level; a wood-burning stove warms the room, and a shower room is en-suite. The kitchenette has a two-ring gas hob, microwave, air fryer and fridge, enough for simple cooking and breakfast before you head out exploring.
Outside there is a patio garden with a barbecue and fire pit, as well as the hot tub. One car can park on site. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided; you'll need to arrange logs separately if you want to use the woodburner. The pod has borehole water and is fully insulated and double-glazed. This is a no-smoking property. The location suits people wanting a quiet base for walking or wildlife watching in Galloway's forests and coastal villages, or simply a retreat where you can sit in a hot tub and look at fields.

Great for total escape. Pod is great log burner, hot tub etc. But.. no phone signal, no WiFi, 10 miles to anywhere.

Had a wonderful 3 nights in Chestnut pod in mid-June. There's everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. I have mobility difficulties and the parking was right at the back of each pod with a paved path down the side of the pod to get to the door (which has a step up). It really is in the middle of nowhere with a 15 minute drive to Newton Stewart for the nearest restaurants and shops etc but that also means it is wonderful for peace and quiet and wildlife watching!

Lovely relaxing spot for a breakaway Very comfortable and clean with everything you need in the cute little pod. Hot tub and patio out front with a barbecue for just hanging around during the day, or nearby forest walk to take your dog. Lovely to sit and watch the sheep and lambs in the field as well

We had a fantastic stay at Barnharrow holiday pods! The pods themselves were clean and well presented, with everything you could possibly need! The hot tub was lovely and warm and easy to use! A gorgeous setting with great views ⭐️
