Bel-Mar
Dumfries and Galloway
You enter Bel-Mar directly into a ground-floor living space that opens across two rooms—a lounge with television and radio, flowing into a dining room where windows frame views of Wigtown Bay. A conservatory catches afternoon light, and beyond lie the kitchen (electric oven and hob, dishwasher, full refrigeration), utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, and a bedroom with ensuite shower. Upstairs are three further bedrooms: two holding pairs of single beds, one with a double. A family bathroom serves the upper floor. The property sleeps eight across its four bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Set on working farmland three miles from the Isle of Whithorn, Bel-Mar sits where you can see water from almost every room. The grounds include an enclosed garden with patio, furniture, a private hot tub, and parking for four cars. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. The property draws water from a natural spring; a stream runs through the garden roughly 100 yards away. No smoking is permitted inside.
The Machars Peninsula offers the working harbour at Isle of Whithorn for meals and boats, Wigtown—Scotland's National Book Town with independent bookshops—and Newton Stewart for larger shops and restaurants. Walking, cycling and exploring the Galloway Forest Park are all within reach.
