Kirkcudbright's harbour, galleries and high street sit within easy reach of Bengairn, a detached lodge set among trees with countryside stretching out beyond. The Solway coast is close enough for day trips, and local walking routes start from the doorstep. A ramp leads to the entrance; inside, the ground floor holds a living and dining room with patio doors onto the garden, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and a bedroom with bunk beds alongside a bathroom with a bath. Upstairs, two further bedrooms each have their own en-suite shower room—one with a kingsize bed, the other with zip-and-link singles that can be configured as a double or two singles.
The garden has a lawned area with seating, and there is parking for three cars on site. Essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. One dog can stay free. The lodge works for families with younger children; a travel cot and highchair are available. Note that smoking is not permitted inside.
